Limited Edition Print - Escape to the Chateau

Artwork I did whilst in Hospital with a Heart rate of 157 BPM and then to 300 BPM - 37 Days in Hospital

Challenge

Hi, everyone can I tell you the story of how Art and the support of the wonderful people of the Escape to the Chateau Fan Club, have helped Paul get through a life threatening medical condition, I believe that Paul is with us today due largely to the calming effect of his creative artwork has had on his heart. it in enabled him to keep calm, even though at one point he had a heart rate of 300bpm. I recall him telling how he used the vision of the Chateau he had drawn for me to relax him
and at one point he had a outer body experience where he was sat by the moat painting the chateau in complete tranquility and (an angel appeared).

The Inspiration...

Whilst in Hospital He drew ‘Escape to the Chateau’ because his carer and friend of 33
years, Steve Cuddy Paul said: “So to please him I drew a picture of the Chateau.” not knowing if ill make it out of hospital, it may be the last thing i do and give, so i wanted to produce something special to my best friend Steve.

Steve said: “When he did this he had a heart rate of 157bpm, he is partially sighted, constantly shaking and couldn’t really hold a pencil - so I thought it was absolutely amazing and to prove it I created a Facebook
page.” Within two days Steve had great pleasure in showing Paul over
thousand likes and comments on the “Escape to the Chateau Fan Club” ETTC (WHAT IS THIS) Facebook page and lots of requests offers to buy prints and donate to Muscular Dystrophy UK.

Eventually Paul had a heart operation. He said: I remember before the op, when Steve left, he gave me a massive hug and told me I was going to be alright and the operation will be a success because he had coloured in the picture of the Chateau!”
